What is a primary URL? What is a production URL?
A primary URL of an Ektron license is a base URL through which the customer intends to use the Ektron product. In contrast, the development/staging URLs of a license are solely for the development, staging, testing, or other support of a web site at a primary URL. A standard Ektron license provides one primary URL and one permanent license key generated with that primary URL. This URL and key should always be provided when requesting technical support or customer service. “Production URL” is a synonym for “primary URL”. We have changed this term in our newer literature to reduce confusion when a customer wants the primary URL of their license to be the URL of their development server rather than their production server.
