What is a Primary Care Physician (PCP) and how do I select one?
This is a doctor who you would see for routine appointments. The College will automatically assign you to a nearby PCP who has agreed to see RMCAD students on a priority basis. The PCP’s name is listed on your ID card. If you want to change physicians, you must do this before making an appointment. A provider directory (a listing of doctors who participate in the plan) is available on the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield website – www.anthem.com. You can change your assigned PCP online or by phone through Anthem customer service at any time.
