What is a Pressure Control Valve?

The Pneumadyne Pressure Control Valve is ideal for applications requiring reduced pressure to a cylinder. It is designed for use between a valve output and a cylinder or other volume, where a reduced pressure is desired. A high volume check valve is built in to allow for rapid reverse flow. It is also ideal for continuous flow applications where reverse flow is not required. Output pressure is selected by adjusting the control knob when pressure is off. Pneumadyne’s gauge port and micro gauge are ideal for accurately setting output pressure. Air flowing through the input port unseats the poppet and continues through the output port, pressurizing a downstream vessel. The flow stops when the downstream pressure is equal to the set pressure. As the cylinder retracts the Pressure Control acts as a free reverse check, downstream pressure enters the output port unseating the o-ring and allowing air to pass through the hollow stem and out the input port. The Pressure Control valve is not to b
