What is a pre-shipment inspection (PSI)?
Some countries require an inspection of goods before they leave the country of export in order to verify quality, quantity or price when a shipment exceeds a certain value or contains a particular commodity. Inspections must be performed by a certified inspection company. The inspection company communicates its findings in writing to the parties involved.
