What is a Pre-Existing Condition (PEC)?
• A pre-existing condition is an illness, condition or ailment where, in the opinion of a medical practitioner appointed by the health fund, signs or symptoms of your ailment, illness or condition existed at any time during the six months preceding the day on which you purchased your hospital cover benefits. A 12-month waiting period applies for pre-existing conditions.
