What is a Pre and Post trip inspection Report?
A Pre and Post trip report is a detailed vehicle inspection. It states damage such as dents, scratches, cracked windows, etc., prior to loading. When the post trip inspection is done, both the driver and the person responsible for releasing the vehicle will sign, and a copy given to that person. Upon arriving at the destination point, the driver will again do a detailed inspection on the same Bill of Lading, and both parties will sign before the vehicle is released. Damage rarely occurs, but if it does, the damage will be noted on the Bill of Lading which the driver will sign. Any damage not noted on the Bill of Lading, cannot be processed by our insurance.
