WHAT IS A PORTION OF FRUIT OR VEGETABLES?
For an adult this is approx 80g and you should have at least 5 portions or 400g per day. This is to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancers. Children need less and a good guide is what will fit in their hand. Try and eat a wide variety fresh, frozen canned and dried all count. Juices and smoothies, beans and pulses only count as one portion no matter how much you have.
