What is a Polytheist?
Polytheist: A polytheist is a person who acknowledges, worships, venerates, and/or honors more than one deity. Henotheist: A henotheist is a polytheist who chooses to venerate only one deity. Duotheist or Dualtheist: an individual who venerates two deities, for example “The Goddess” and “The God” as found in Wiccan ideology. Monotheist: A monotheist, by contrast, believes in one and only one god, and believes there are no other gods. A monotheist would believe that other gods besides his/her own are imaginary deities or malicious entities sent to misleed people; alternatively, some monotheists believe that all deities are manifestations of one god or goddess.
