What is a PLB file?
The LP Librarian transfers the LP Calculator data into an ASCII text file called a PLB file. The user can also add component manufacturer’s data to the PLB file. This helps LP Calculator users quickly locate land pattern data by searching for manufacturer data. The LP Librarian automatically creates this data in the PLB file – • Component Dimensions • Land Pattern Dimensions • Solder Joint Goals • Solder Mask data • Paste Mask data • Land Pattern line width data • Land Pattern Name • Component Description The LP Librarian user can add this additional data to the default PLB file – • Manufacturer Name • Mfr Part Number • Mfr Case Code • Mfr Description • Mfr web link to component datasheet • Mfr PDF datasheet located on your network • JEDEC Part Number The LP Librarian user can also add additional attributes to the PLB file, such as – • Corporate part number • Schematic symbol name • Created by • Created date • Revision • Project number • Customer ID/number The LP Librarian has unlimite
