As with all mobile phone SIM cards, PIN and PUK codes are used for your safety. They allow you to access your SIM and protect its use from others. When you receive your Travel SIM you must enter a PIN code to unlock it before you can use it. PUK codes are provided just in case you enter the incorrect PIN code more than 3 times. If you do, your phone will ‘lock’ you out for security reasons and only upon entry of your PUK code will it be unlocked for you to enter the correct PIN code.
