What Is A Pilates Magic Circle?

0

A Pilates Magic Circle is a circle, about 15 inches diameter, made out of either rubber, hard plastic or flexible metal. It has two foam pads, one on each side, that look like hand grips. They range in price from $15 to $75. If possible, get a Pilates Magic Circle with foam pads on the inside and outside of the circle. It’s more versatile and can be used for more exercises than those with foam pads only on the outside. Joseph Pilates invented the Pilates Magic Circle in the 1920s in order to add more resistance to Pilates exercises (like my legs aren’t enough resistance)! Supposedly Joe used a metal band from a keg barrel for the first magic circle.
