The PID is a personal identification number that is a unique personal identification number that is issued to each Certified Colorado Peace Officer. The PID number is used by POST to track and document the training attended by each certified peace officer. Once issued, the PID Card is unique to and retained by the officer – it goes with the officer to new agencies or when the officer separates from service as a peace officer.
