Phone lock is used to lock the phone .So others cannot use your Phone.If you forget code you can use default code and reset it.For Nokia phones 12345 or 1234 are default codes.If these code does not work,get master reset code for Nokia DCT phones  and alcatel old models from the site Unlocking4free.com and reset it.

A phone lock code prevents access to your handset rather than your SIM card. The lock code is dependent on the make and model of your handset – please check your phone’s manual for details. Please be aware if you change your lock code and forget it we will not be able to reset this for you and your phone will need to be sent away for repair (for which you will be charged). PIN (SIM Card) Handsets can be set up to ask for a PIN code every time the phone is turned on: if the correct code is not input at startup, the phone will not work, allowing a degree of security should the phone be lost or stolen. All Onetel SIM cards have a default PIN code of 0000; please consult your handset’s manual for details of how to change this and how to make the phone request the PIN code each time it is turned on.
