A Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) gives independent-living seniors and the disabled a safe, secure and dependable way to contact others instantly in a personal emergency. A PERS has three components: a small radio transmitter (a help button carried or worn by the user); a console that connects easily to the user’s telephone; and an emergency call response center.
