What is a PEEL Gif?
It’s a P.roactive E.ngaged E.lectronic L.earning GIF that goes beyond the Traditional Animated Gif. It’s a way of teaching/learning/reviewing information in the classroom, computer lab, public library, home, or from virtually any computer in the world! Even with a cable hook up, PowerPoint presentations on the web are an extremely long download. Most people give up after viewing the first few slides, and then they have to back click numerous times to get back to their starting point. PEEL Gifs are short two minute presentations with quicker downloads. They recycle automatically and appeal to multiple learning styles, especially visual-spatial learners. They can be used as TAG/Enrichment activities, to differentiate instruction, and/or to reinforce concepts already taught.
