What is a pediatric voiding cystourethrogram?
Paediatric voiding cystourethrotgram is a procedure where we inject contrast material into the child’s bladder. What we’re looking for is whether or not there are any abnormalities of the bladder and also whether or not there is any return or reflux of material up into the tubes leading to the kidneys, the ureters. This is important because your child might have infections of the urinary tract because of this reflux.
