What is a PDF file?
A “pdf” (Portable Document Format) file is a read-only file that can be viewed and printed exactly as it was created. Lloyds TSB Share Dealing uses PDF files for forms, terms and conditions and specifically to read contract notes within your secure messaging facility. PDFs allow you to print off and fill in or read offline at a later date. To use these files you need to install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in for your browser.
A. PDF stands for Portable Document Format. Digitally signed, complete appraisal reports (including all photograph, maps, etc.) can be printed to a PDF format, which can be secured against alteration, and sent as an email attachment. This is an original appraisal report. Once you have it downloaded on your computer, you can print as many originals as you need, forward them over the internet to your underwriter, and save them for archival purposes. Because a delivered hardcopy is no longer required from the appraiser, you can expect to receive your requested appraisal one or two days earlier. Corrections or additions to the appraisal can usually be completed within a matter of minutes and resent.
