What is a PCORE Quick Link Bushing?
The PCORE Quick Link Bushing was designed to assist Utilities and OEM’s when they were faced with a choice of either using a bottom connected bushing with current carrying capabilities of 1200Amps or more or a draw-lead type bushing with current carrying capabilities of 400Amps. The use of a draw-lead bushing allows for a simpler and quicker installation and removal of a bushing. For new applications, this would allow the transformer to be shipped with the connection in place, which saves thousands of dollars in fieldwork. The PCORE Quick Link Bushing has an unique design that transfers the current from the bottom terminal to the bushing giving the unit the same “ease of use” characteristic as a draw-lead bushing. The bottom connector is a proven multiple contact design that provides safe, reliable operation during short circuit, up to 25 times the rated current even after more than 500 operations.
