This is an operator induced error caused by pointing the radar antenna at the radar’s processing unit which can cause wild and erratic readings. It is much like keying the microphone of a radio transmitter near a receiver tuned to the same frequency which causes “feedback” or a loud screeching noise. If the radar is properly mounted this is not a problem.
