What is a Panasonic Ductless Split Air Conditioner?
A Panasonic Ductless Split Air Conditioner combines the cooling capabilities of a central air conditioning system with the zoning flexibility of conventional window air conditioners. The system is comprised of two main units, a compressor and an evaporator. The outdoor unit, commonly known as the compressor, delivers the coolant to the evaporator via small copper tubing. This tubing enters the building through a small opening in the wall and connects the indoor unit with the outdoor unit. The indoor unit, commonly referred to as the evaporator, is installed on the wall in the desired room without the use of ducts. Warm air is taken in by the evaporator then cooled using a heat exchanger. The cool and filtered air is then dispensed back into the room.
