What is a page impression, What is an ad impression?
Page impressions, or page views: The number of times a Web page is clicked on to and viewed by a user. When a user types in a URL using a Web browser, or clicks on a link, he gets connected to that page. This counts as a single page impression, sometimes called page view or page request. Ad impressions, or ad views: The number of times a banner ad is viewed by a user. In some cases the number of ad impressions is equal to the number of page impressions from Web page, but in others, the ad position on the Web page may be shared by two or more ads in rotation.
