What is a package maintainer?

0

A package maintainer is responsible for one or more installed software packages in /uns. As a maintainer, your job is to keep your packages functional and up-to-date, and to field problem reports from your packages’ users. In case you got here by mistake… you don’t have to be a package maintainer to use the software in /uns. Becoming a maintainer just gives you write access to the various /uns partitions, which (outside of a few globally writable directories in /uns/share) should never be required simply to use the programs in /uns.
