What is a Notice of Docket Activity or “NDA?

0

A Notice of Docket Activity (NDA) is an email notice generated at the conclusion of a filing transaction, much like the Notice of Electronic Filing in the bankruptcy and district court CM/ECF systems. NDAs are generated when a party or attorney e-files a document and when the Court enters a document on the docket. If you are a CM/ECFAppellate participant, your receipt of the NDA is service of that document, and registration for the CM/ECF Appellate system constitutes consent to receive service electronically. An NDA will contain hyperlinks to the Court’s docket and to the document filed. It will also list the names and addresses of all people and entities served and the methods by which they are served. NDA recipients may click on the document hyperlink to receive their “one free look” at the document.
