What is a normal lymph node supposed to feel like?

In one of my books it says, that a movable, nontender cervical node is abnormal and could mean lymphoma. I thought the lymph nodes are supposed to be movable and nontender. They’re not supposed to be hard and immovable. ? Im confused.
