A Siberian Cat which is colour pointed, registrations in Russia started in 1987. FIFe has not accepted this variation of the Siberian Cat until recently from Jan,01.2009. The word Neva comes from the river Neva in St Petersburg and the breed was developed there buy mixing Siamese and Siberians.

A colour pointed variety, registrations in Russia started in 1987. FIFe has not accepted this variation of the until recently from Jan,01.2009 as the Neva Masquerad. The word Neva comes from the river Neva in St Petersburg and the breed was developed there buy mixing Siamese and Siberians. The dilemma causes lots of disputes, therefore it would be nice to have the Siberian cat, in only traditional colours and the pointed ones are registered as Neva Masquerad in all federations.
