What is a National Letter of Intend?
The National Letter of Intend is used to commit an individual to a specific university with an athletic scholarship offer. It is an agreement between an athlete and a university coach and usually is confirmed on-line. The athlete must express their clear intentions to study at the university and become part of the athletic team. Under NCAA rules, after signing National Letter of Intend, the athletes have no right to contact with other universities and the scholarship offer is reserved for them. Admission of the athletes at the university is also subject of being declared eligible by NCAA eligibility centre.
