NAICS stands for the North American Industry Classification System. This coding system is created and maintaned by the U.S. Census Bureau and is used to classify businesses and the industries they operate in. The USMTC program asks for participants to assign a NAICS code to each of their order records submitted to the program in an effort to report manufacturing technology market statistics by consuming industries.
