What is a MyFAMILY eBook?
An eBook (or electronic book) is a book or document read in electronic form – on a computer, a palm pilot, or a special eBook reader. Just like printed books on paper, your eBook can contain text and pictures. However, unlike printed books, your eBook can also incorporate things like sound, video, animations, hypertext navigation, live links to web sites, the ability to search for text within the eBook, and a host of helpful (but technical) items, such as Java applets, Java scripts, etc. An eBook can also have an expiration date – a limited number of days the eBook can be viewed before it will no longer work. Or, eBooks can contain password-protected pages, as well as a few other methods of protecting the author (that’s you!) from someone using a commercial version without purchasing it.
