What is a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA)?

0

The Prince of Wales Drive EA Study is subject to a Schedule “C” Municipal Class EA. A Schedule “C” Municipal Class EA generally includes the construction of new facilities and/or major expansions to existing facilities. Please refer to the ‘Municipal Class EA Planning and Design Process’ which illustrates the approved planning and design process for various types of municipal projects, and the updated Municipal Class EA published in 2007. A co-ordinated process that satisfies both provincial and federal EA acts will be carried out to avoid duplication of effort wherever possible.
