What is a multi choke system?
A multi choke system is where rather than have a fixed tapered tube in the barrel, the gun has been machined out to accept removable tubes that can be changed to suit the type of shooting discipline. This system is most commonly found in over and under guns that are designed for clay pigeon shooting; at least this type of gun were the first to have the system as an option. Although now virtually every type of shotgun produced over the last 25 years or so has been fitted with a multichoke system at some point. Usually a set of chokes, that will normally number between 3 and 6 will be supplied with the gun. Thereby making most choke combinations possible.
