Retractable awning motors are hidden inside the roller tube and are designed for exterior awning usage. The motor is controlled by an exterior switch box that can plug into any 110 volt outlet. The normal sized motor only draws 300watts. Motorized and crank-operated units look very similar – the only difference is the motor is hidden inside the roller tube. Manual override option for motor With override, in case of a power failure you still have control over your retractable awning.
