What is a motor vehicle body shop required to do or disclose before repairing my vehicle?
The motor vehicle body shop must disclose in writing the types of crash parts to be used in the repairs, before the repairs are made. The motor vehicle body shop must use genuine crash parts sufficient to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty for fit, finish, structural integrity, corrosion resistance, dent resistance and crash performance, unless the consumer consents in writing to the use of aftermarket or salvage crash parts.
