What is a more valuable resource, seagrass or coral?
They are both valuable resources, and depend on each other to thrive. Organisms from both communities feed on each other. Coral and seagrass depend on good water quality for their survival–and seagrass filters the water and stabilizes the sediment that otherwise would reach the coral reef and kill it. Without seagrass, the coral community in Florida would likely perish.
