What is a more physical sport hockey or football?
I would say football. On every play there’s physical contact. Yes, there’s checking and hits in hockey, but I would say the average hockey player takes far fewer hits a game than a football player. NHL teams play 82 game schedules. Such a schedule could never happen in football because of the physical demand. Even a 16 game schedule is punishing for NFL teams.
