What is a More Light Presbyterians chapter?
An MLP chapter is a group of two or more people who want to work for LGBT equality within the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) under the national More Light umbrella, who commit to taking action each year to advance the More Light movement, and who sign on to the MLP chapter guidelines and support the formal mission of MLP. Becoming an MLP chapter is a good way to formalize your group’s relationship with MLP — it links you in an alliance with MLP’s national network of chapters, it helps the MLP board of directors and staff to provide your group with support and assistance, and it creates communications channels that help you to tell the national More Light movement what you need.
