What is a MOD type?
A. Mod type has to do with the number of rows and columns that are displayed in your 3270 session. A terminal session using MOD2 would have 24 rows and 80 columns. A terminal session using MOD3 would have 32 rows and 80 columns. A terminal session using MOD4 would have 43 rows and 80 columns. A terminal session using MOD5 would have 27 rows and 132 columns. MOD4 is the most common mod type. Some applications are built with a particular mod type in mind.
