A missing assignment report is a form that is filled out by the IST during the IST meeting with the parent/guardian and student present. The IST has to state on the MAR why the student did not complete their assigned work or as to why the student did not complete their work on grade-level. The IST, with the family, discusses options of intervention, i.e., closer monitoring, adjustment of privileges, re-assessment of curriculum, etc., in order to help the student be successful. This discussion is also written on the MAR, which is signed by all present. If 80% of the work is not completed or work is below-grade level, then a missing assignment report is filled out. The student then has 3 days to complete the missing work and turn it into the IST. If the student fails to complete the work, then a 2nd missing assignment report is completed and the student has 3 days to complete the assigned work.
