what is a Minisite anyway?
Friday, June 20th, 2008 Referred to as “minisites” by many marketers, a minisite is a small Web site with a narrow subject focus and narrow page width. The minisite model is effective and quite easy to create. Once the site is up, you are done, no maintenance necessary. Minisites are meant to be small, contained and very specific. Most minisites can be placed into one of three categories. One, they can be long “sales pages” that focus on selling a single product describing the offer and giving a long sales pitch. Two, they can be “squeeze pages” with generally contain “opt-in” signup forms for a mailing list to capture email leads. And three which is the most popular we’ve seen is a combination of both one and two. The “Sales Page ” is generally a long, keyword rich, sales letter from the creator or promoter describing the benefits to using the project.
