What Is a Messiah Sing Along?
Handel’s Messiah is one of the most well known works of western sacred music. Many church choirs perform the chorus and solo selections from the Messiah, particularly Part 1, which is particularly relevant during the Christmas season. Because of this familiarity, it is possible to gather singers from many different backgrounds and create a performance of the most well known of these choruses with little or no advanced preparation.
