What is a Mentally Healthy Person?
We all recognize it when we see it: One who is clear-thinking, sane, in reality, objective, ordered, responsive, balanced and not given to extremes . . . free from bitterness, unresolved conflicts, lingering fears, anger, hate, worries, hurts . . . well adjusted . . . one who has a sense of being in control of one’s life . . . and is able to bond well emotionally with others. One who is mentally healthy will be able to deal with the challenges of life (otherwise defined as “empowered”), will have good judgment, be resilient in the face of change or setbacks, will be solution-focused . . . have a realisttic internal belief system . . . sense of peace and well-being . . . fit for functioning well in the real world.
