What is a Medical Laboratory Scientist, and how do I become one?
A Medical Laboratory Scientist is an individual with a baccalaureate degree who has received education and training in all areas of the medical laboratory. This includes microbiology, clinical chemistry, hematology, and blood banking. At UNH, all students entering the program enroll choosing a specific track. In the junior year, students interested in following a traditional clinical career performing various medical tests can select the Clinical Track. Students interested in a career in biomedical research can select the Research Track.
