What is a mature student and how do I qualify?
If you do not possess the minimum admission requirement but are nineteen years of age by the first official day of classes, you may apply as a mature student. The Admissions department will assess your academic strengths through testing in the required courses for this program. Based on the results of the test you may continue to the next step in the admissions process, which is an audition and an English assessment or academic upgrading to better prepare you for your studies. How should I prepare for the audition? 1. Memorize and be prepared to perform two monologues from a play, each no more than 1½ to 2 minutes in length, and which are contrasting in nature. You may choose from contemporary and/or classical theatre; no more than one of your monologues may be original writing of your own. 2. As part of your audition, you may be asked to participate in a brief assessment of your movement and vocal skills.
