Some Distance Education courses have orientations at the beginning of the semester. Some are mandatory and in person, others are conducted online without any in-person meetings. If your course has a Mandatory Orientation you must attend the scheduled orientation to remain in the course. If you miss your oreintation the professor has the right to not allow you to continue in the course.
