What is a Mandatory Harvest Report (MHR)?

0

A16. All Deer, Elk and Antelope Hunters are given a Harvest Report Card with each tag. All hunters must complete and submit a report (by mail, fax, phone or Internet) for each tag issued within 10 days of harvest or within 10 days of the close of the season for which their tag was valid. Hunters who do not complete the MHR are not able to purchase an IDFG License the following year until the report is filed. Your participation and success in Idaho’s big game seasons provide critical information on game harvest and hunting success rate. The harvest reports are the way for you to provide data on your deer, elk, or antelope hunt to the Department.
