What is a malpractice panel and do they have them for dentists?
A. K.S.A. 65-4901 states all health licensing boards are to keep a list of those willing to serve on a malpractice screening panel for the district courts. The panel has 90 days to make a recommendation on whether or not the health care provider was below the standard of care in a pending lawsuit. The panels are selected from those dentists who checked yes on renewal forms.
