What is a living wall / vertical garden / greenwall?
A living wall or vertical garden is basically a garden.. on a wall. It opens up great design possibilities and made popular by Patrick Blanc. He traveled all over the world observing that natively grew on cliffs and used what he learned to create vertical gardens over building facades in Paris, France. Since that time, living walls have become popular with prominent landscapers, architects, interior designers and home owners looking to inject some ‘life’ into normally bland walls. Each wall had to be custom made which resulted in high prices. However we now have a system for creating affordable living walls that are easy to install and maintain.
