What is a Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP)?

0

We often don’t give much thought to what happens to the wastewater that flows from our sinks and toilets into our sewers or septic fields. Yet, planning for the management of these liquid wastes is the key to ensuring cost-effective and environmentally-friendly solutions for current and future use. After a comprehensive public process, the Regional District of Central Okanagan developed a Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP) for the Central Okanagan East Electoral Area (formerly known as Joe Rich/Ellison). This plan provides future direction for managing liquid waste from sewers and septic systems and preventing pollution over the next 20 years. Map of Area Final Reports During 2009, the Regional Board adopted the Final Reports making up the Liquid Waste Management Plan for Central Okanagan East.
