What is a light version of SALOME?
You can use the “light” SALOME configuration if you don’t need CORBA in the application. This configuration provides a GUI framework to write classical one-process GUI applications (SALOME light components). Such components can be run separately or can work together in the same session with classical full components. The light configuration of SALOME does not depend on CORBA. There is an example of light component – “LIGHT_SRC” coming with SALOME Install Wizard.
