What is a license to build?
A license is written permission to use copyrighted material in a strictly defined manner. Home designs, like other creative works, are copyrighted, and Summerhill Home Designs retains all copyrights to its design work. For more information, please read our Copyrights Notice. When you commission a Summerhill Home Designs custom design, you do not receive any title or ownership to the design. By purchasing a Summerhill Home Designs Plan Set, you will receive a non-exclusive, not-transferable license that entitles you to construct or have constructed one home from the Plan Set.
