What is a License/License pack?
License/License packs- These products are used for compliancy issues, ie. Lost licenses that need replacing, adding clients to a server, etc. These products do not contain CD’s and may not contain a COA, depending on the product. Some license packs contain key codes or diskette’s for the installation of the additional licenses to the existing software packages on your computer. Many of these licenses however are installed on the “honor system”. These license are to be used for license compliancy purposes only and should not be used for circumventing the OEM or Retail installation procedures. The end user assumes all responsibility regarding use of these products. Microsoft License Pack (MLP) For some products, a single license to install and use one additional copy of the software. MLPs are not part of any Microsoft Volume Licensing program, and may be acquired separately through a Solution Provider or reseller.
